Destinos Online is committed to processing personal information in a manner that is lawful, reasonable, and transparent, in accordance with the eight conditions for lawful processing set out in POPIA:
- Accountability — We take responsibility for the information we process.
- Processing limitation — We only collect information that is adequate, relevant and not excessive.
- Purpose specification — Information is collected for a specific, explicitly defined purpose.
- Further processing limitation — Further processing is compatible with the original purpose.
- Information quality — We take steps to ensure information is accurate, complete and up to date.
- Openness — We maintain this notice and our Privacy Policy to inform data subjects.
- Security safeguards — We protect information against loss, damage, or unauthorised access.
- Data subject participation — We respect your right to access, correct and object to processing.
Personal Information We Process
We process the following categories of personal information in the course of our business:
- Contact details: name, email address, telephone number
- Business information: company name, website URL
- Financial information: invoicing details (not card numbers)
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, usage logs
- Correspondence: emails and messages exchanged with us
We do not process special personal information (such as health data, biometric data, or political views) and do not knowingly process personal information of children under 18.
Purpose of Processing
Personal information is processed to:
- Respond to enquiries and deliver contracted services
- Issue invoices and process payments
- Provide ongoing support and account management
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
- Improve our services and website
Your Rights as a Data Subject
Under POPIA you have the right to:
- Access — Request details of personal information we hold about you (POPIA Form 1)
- Correction or deletion — Request that inaccurate, irrelevant or outdated information be corrected or deleted (POPIA Form 2)
- Objection — Object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances (POPIA Form 3)
- Complaints — Lodge a complaint with us or directly with the Information Regulator
